Recently, I was invited to participate in a series of presentations hosted by the Ballard Partners. Purpose of this group is to Develop a Port of Los Angeles Cruise Terminal, that is world in class and matches or exceeds those now in Miami, Galveston, Seattle, New York and others. This group is responsible for facilitating an alliance of three leading cruise lines i.e. Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean Group and MSC Cruises.

These three leading cruise companies are combining their expertise, their money, their vision for a San Pedro cruise facility as the gateway to Los Angeles. Making San Pedro a place to go, not only a place to go through.

A brief profile:

Carnival Corporation & P l C.: is the largest global cruise company that include Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seaburn, Cunard and P & O UK. Fleet size over 90 ships, serve 800 ports, 150 countries, hosting 12, 500 guests.

Royal Caribbean Group: Partnerships with both TUI Cruises & Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, a fleet size of 68 ships, I,000 destinations.

MSC Cruises: With a 22 ship make up, serving 100 countries, 5 continents, 300 destinations. A market leader in Europe, South America and Southern Africa.

This is a long and arduous task, with the first benchmark of November 10th proposal submittal.
