Hi All,

We have heard there is a likelihood that Draft #3 of the CHIP/Housing Element will come before PLUM on November 19. It is very important that PLUM approves Draft #3 without options and recommends it to the full City Council.  

We have sent hundreds of letters to the PLUM members and hope you continue to send to them and to the Council File if you haven’t.  We do feel that because PLUM meetings have only “in person” public comment that we should organize to go down to city hall for this meeting. Standing up for our neighborhoods and the proper development of our communities means we must continue to be a force in this conversation.

We need people from all the different communities that make up LA to join our effort.  We need people from East LA, South LA, West LA, the Valley, Coastal, Equestrian, Historic.  We need to let people know that all our neighborhoods matter and working together we will support the development of new housing while protecting existing neighborhoods from being negatively impacted.

Please if you can plan to attend that day, reach out to us. We will set up a zoom meeting so we can plan our talking points and address key issues.  We are limited to 1 minute comments so we need to push our message effectively and efficiently.

We don’t have a lot of time so if you can join us please let us know by Friday of this week. We will have a zoom meeting around Tuesday the 12th.
