Hi folks,
CyberWatch can now report that the suspect in the case of the stolen car doors on Grenadier Drive, Friday morning, January 19 has been arrested.
An individual of lower South Shores was arrested yesterday, February 1 for grand theft in the case of stolen car doors from the Jeep Wrangler on Grenadier Drive. The suspect was taken into custody yesterday at 2:45 p.m. at 30th St. and Kerckhoff Avenue.
Many thanks for the swift efforts of our Harbor LAPD Detective Bureau partners, Detective Rodriguez in particular. We would also like to thank our Senior Lead Officer Melody Shortle for her important role in this case.
Also, this development would not have been possible without the unprecedented rapid and dedicated response of several CyberWatch members and neighbors. Their involvement in providing extensive photographic evidence was indispensable in providing assistance to this case.
We trust the heads of many South Shores residents will rest easier on their pillows tonight.
Observe and report. See something…say something.
Stay well.
Bob

Hi folks,
Update on Stolen Jeep Doors: Feb, 2024
Good news!
CyberWatch is pleased to report that the two car doors brazenly removed and stolen from the Jeep Wrangler on Grenadier Drive last weekend were located and returned to the vehicle’s owner yesterday morning.
Location of these stolen car doors would not have been possible without a caring group of CyberWatch members and South Shores neighbors. These folks provided police with a significant number of vital leads through observation reports, video clips and still photos of the theft.
The thefts occurred between 2:40 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.last Friday morning.
CyberWatch also thanks the Harbor LAPD’s Detective Bureau, patrol officers and our Senior Lead Office Melody Shortle for swift and effective response. With information provided by this South Shore neighborhood, this Harbor LAPD team succeeded in locating the stolen car doors and delivered them to the vehicle’s owner moments later yesterday.
Further investigation of this case is ongoing. CyberWatch will keep members advised of future developments as they take place.
In the meantime,
Observe and Report. “If you see something, say something.”
Stay well…
Bob
