Purpose – The following is the third monthly briefing update keeping our membership informed.
Thank You – Thank you notes were sent to all who helped make the first Health & Wellness symposiums a success.
New News – The next SSCA annual meeting will take place March 2019, in hopes of attracting a larger audience.
The second in a series of Health & Wellness symposiums will be held Saturday, June 23rd at Little Sisters of the Poor; topic Hypertension. A topic for ALL age groups!
Welcome Wagon – The “kick-off” is scheduled to get under way within the next 30-days. The “PLAN” is to coincide with a strong membership drive Walk Around. The “kick-off” is scheduled to begin the weekend of 4/21 thru 05/13.
The 2018 membership drive is scheduled for the next 45 days. The membership drive will include walk around and phone calls, as well as open pleas via the SSCA website and Cyberwatch.
Update News – The matter regarding Sheriff’s deputy dropping off homeless in South Shores will be before the Los Angeles City Council’s Public Safety Committee next Wednesday, April 25, 2018. The meeting will take place at City Hall in Room 1010 at 8:30AM. Unfortunately, I will be out of town that day; however, I encourage all concerned South Shore residents to attend and voice your concerns.
Disappointment – As of this date, there has been no response from the Postal System regarding the poor delivery service of the Viewpoint.
The call for volunteers is still in the air. Many tasks still require assistance and HELP!
Tasks Requiring Volunteers
– Membership Drive Ideas “thinking outside the box”
– Neighbor Assist
– Lending assistance for the Health & Wellness Towne Hall
Good News – Your SSCA is continuing to implement new ideas infused with youth and vitality.
Respectfully,
Rich F. Scandaliato, President SSCA
