CERT is a program to train civilians to be able to assist First Responders during national disasters.

The class is once a week for 6 weeks at the Wigwam, all taught by our LAFD firefighters. There are 2 weeks that fall on a holiday and those will be skipped. The class is about 2 hours but may run a little longer or shorter based on the info for that unit. Everyone who completes all classes will receive a certificate of completion from LAFD. Anyone who needs to make up classes will be directed to near by classes to make up what needs to be done but should be able to graduate with their class.
